Last Ten

Songs I’ve downloaded from iTunes. (It’s been a while…)

  1. Gold by Kiiara. This is a really unique and cool song. It’s definitely not your average top 40. A little like Selena Gomez, but way cooler.
  2. Into You by Ariana Grande. It’s hard for me to say no to an Ariana Grande song. She’s got a Britney narrative with a Mariah voice. It’s a killer combination.
  3. Make Me by Britney Spears feat. G-Eazy. Brit Brit is definitely following the Bieber lead and getting more EDM by the minute. I don’t hate it.
  4. For Free by DJ Khaled feat. Drake. This song is a little blah, but it’s also pretty funny.
  5. Ruin by Shawn Mendes. Shawn is really finding his niche with his acoustic singer songwriter vibe.
  6. Sit Still, Look Pretty by Daya. This song is 100% girl power which is why I love it. It’s a little blatant but just awesome at the same time. It’s a great motivational song on the morning commute.
  7. Think of You by Chris Young feat. Cassadee Pope. I have to mix in a country song here and there. I like the story in the song, and it’s just plain catchy.
  8. Easy Love by Sigala. This is a great workout song. It’s basically an EDM remix of ABC by the Jackson 5. My spin class teacher uses it almost every week and I needed it in my rotation.
  9. We Don’t Talk Anymore by Charlie Puth feat. Selena Gomez. This has a pretty chill vibe but it’s somehow catchy at the same time. I think Charlie Puth is establishing a pretty good career with all of his high profile collaborations.
  10. Cheap Thrills by Sia feat. Sean Paul. I’m a sucker for Sean Paul. Sia, I get take or leave, but I needed something upbeat to add to the workout mix and this fit the bill.

Sadie Dishes- Last Ten

Hits and Misses

I’ve been trying to keep my wallet on lockdown the last couple months, but the below are a few of the more superfluous purchases that I’ve liked a lot and not so much.

Hits

Nike discontinued my favorite sports bra about a year or so ago. Don’t you hate when that happens? Well, after a long wait, they’ve finally brought back something comparable to my old favorite. I bought it with a little trepidation because I wasn’t sure if it would live up to my previous experiences, but I think it’s great. It doesn’t seem quite as high impact as the previous model but otherwise it fits a whole lot better than their other standard model. It looks like they’ve been adding colors so I hope that means it’s selling well and they keep it around!

I love a professional looking printed pant for work, so these from Banana were right up my ally. I’m not in love with Banana’s typical Sloane pant fabric because it’s kind of thick and doesn’t dry clean very nicely, but these are a lighter weight, closer to standard wool dress pants. They’re a keeper!

I got the above swimsuit in an teal/aqua color, and I think it’s really cute. I like the top a lot more than the bottoms, but that’s find because I can always mix and match with bottoms I like more. I think it’s a great option for water sports because everything stays relatively contained, if you know what I mean.

Misses

I ordered this blazer from Banana on super sale thinking it was home run. Not so. The fabric wasn’t great in person, and the cut was peculiar. Return.

I tried these pants on when I went to Banana to return the blazer. I loved the color and the light fabric. When I tried them on, however, the legs were too wide and the inseam was too short. They made me look short and stout. I don’t think the “Avery” fit is for me.

Gearing Up For the Tony’s

In honor of the Tony’s this weekend, I thought I would post a little throwback video. If this doesn’t make you happy, you might be dead.

My favorite thing is the expression on the faces of the innocent bystanders sitting right next to the cast members singing their hearts out. It’s a combination of bewilderment and happiness. They also did a similar performance on a subway train in New York.

And also, if you haven’t seen the James Corden Carpool Karaoke with Broadway stars– that is your homework assignment.

Let’s go Hamilton!
