Last Five

Songs I downloaded from iTunes.

  1. Questions by Chris Brown. This is a fun song that samples Kevin Lyttle’s Turn Me On, which is a great throw back. It’s short, but fun!
  2. He Like That by Fifth Harmony. This music video is intense. I highly recommend it!
  3. Give Love by Andy Grammer feat. LunchMoney Lewis. This is just such a happy song! It’s cheesy, but sometimes you just need a little Andy Grammar positivity in your life.
  4. Don’t Say You Love Me by Fifth Harmony. I’m going through a little of the Fifth Harmony phase right now. I can’t help it, they’re songs are really catchy. I like the message of this song too. It’s all about words versus actions.
  5. New Rules by Dua Lipa. This song just wormed it’s way into my head. It’s catchy but really unique. It’s a little lesson for breaking up.

The jury is still out on Taylor Swift’s new one. I don’t hate it, but I don’t understand why she’s so mad at everyone. She’s a millionaire- where is this aggression coming from?

Last Five

Songs I downloaded from iTunes.

  1. We Found Love by Rihanna feat. Calvin Harris. Oldie but a goodie. This comes on in my spin class and I always think- why do I not have this song? This issue has been resolved.
  2. Hotline Bling (cover) by Ceresia. I actually have multiple Hotline Bling covers. It’s really interesting to hear the different interpretations and it’s particularly interesting to hear a woman sing it.
  3. Work From Home by Fifth Harmony feat. Ty Dolla $ign. This song is quite cheesy, but so catchy. Fifth Harmony seems to have a work related songs and music videos. I wonder if this is phase, or if they found success with one and kept going. I’ve listened to this song 96 times this week according to my iTunes.
  4. I Took a Pill in Ibiza (Seeb Remix) by Mike Posner. I’m not a bonafide Mike Posner fan, but I think I have at least five of his songs in my library which is a lot for kind of a one hit wonder. He keeps plugging along, and I happy he does because I really love this song. Kind of obsessed.
  5. Don’t Let Me Down by The Chainsmokers feat. Daya. Once I downloaded the Mike Posner song I was in a chill EDM mood and this was the next logical step. I only have a couple songs from The Chainsmokers but I think they’re really great for long drives or commuting music.

Anything Could Happen

I just want to reiterate how much Sadie and I love our new theme song for this coming year.  I must say that Ellie Goulding says it the best when she sings that “anything could happen.”  The first time I heard this song was actually on the x-factor when Fifth Harmony sang it.  It was an incredibly delightful performance.  You can’t help but smile when you see the words put into action.  Check it out here.

Sadie and I heard it  on our way over to our New Year’s festivities and I took it as a sign.  Maybe this year there are going to be some major changes in our lives.  I’m not exactly sure what is in store for the both of us but I can only hope that it involves positivity and fearlessness.  We are two young women who need to live life as if its our last day.  That means we need to grab hold of life’s moments and create our own adventures.  We need to open our eyes to the life that surrounds us and take risks when we see possible opportunities that are reaching toward us.

One of my goals for this year is to see the world and all it has to offer.  So far this year, I already have a trip to Boston and San Francisco planned.  Just yesterday, I was told that I could possibly be taken on a trip to Paris for the opening of a new restaurant.  That’s not yet a definite, but I will keep you updated.  Start enjoying 2013 everyone!  The year will go by way too fast!
