Spring Trend Alert: Twist Tops

This is one of my favorites so far. It gives you the effect of the 90’s waist tie look, but makes it a little more tailored. When every shirt seems to have puff or flared sleeves, it’s nice to see some architecture on the waist instead of the sleeve. I think most of these looks would look great with a high waisted jean, or stylish during a workout.

There are options with the twist in the front, or the back, so you can pick what you want to highlight.

Spring Trend Alert: Pink Pants

I’m going to to a few quick takes on the spring trends because even though the groundhog saw his shadow, the stores are slowly starting to release their spring lines.

Up first: pink pants! I love this idea, and as I’ve mentioned in the past, I have a few pairs of pink pants. Even though it’s very trendy right now (you know- Millennial pink), I love pink pants in general as a statement piece. I basically love anything that I can throw on with a white blouse and have a complete outfit. Every time I wear pink pants, I get tons of compliments. Here are some of my favorites that I’ve seen:

  1. Love Will Keep Us Together by Captain & Tennille. Because ’tis the season for a throw back love song, and I love this one.
  2. Favor by Vindata, Skrillex, NSTASIA. I saw this one in a choreography video and I got hooked on it. It’s got that vibey, EDM sound to it. So hot right now.
  3. Wait by Maroon 5. I love Maroon 5, and I basically love 9 out of every 10 songs they put out. This one is very true to their sound. Not really fast, but not really slow. Once again, it sounds like Adam got himself into a complicated relationship. Go figure.
  4. The Middle by Zedd, Maren Morris & Grey. I can’t stop listening to this song. It’s really catchy and the sound is really trendy right now.
  5. Trust Fund Baby by Why Don’t We. I am a sucker for a catchy boy band song. That’s exactly what this is. Do yourself a favor and listen to it.
